About me
Claudia warmly welcomes Lucid and Springshow visitors, setting the stage for a student showcase and a reminder that everyone began with a blank canvas.
“In the beginner’s mind, there are many possibilities, but in the expert’s mind, there are few.”
Hi, I’m Claudia!
I’m a senior user experience designer, facilitator, and creative lead with over two decades of experience guiding interdisciplinary design teams and shaping forward-thinking projects. At the Academy of Art University, I co-led curriculum and instruction across Interaction Design, UI/UX, Product, and Transportation Design, mentoring the next generation of design talent while collaborating across creative disciplines.
I’m also the founder and creative mind behind INTOIT.LOVE, a personal wellness brand that blends design with herbalism to deliver handcrafted, purpose-driven products that support holistic health. This venture reflects my passion for making products and creating meaningful experiences, from concept ideas to customer.
Earlier in my career, I honed my craft at iconic studios including Wired Magazine (USA), Pixelpark (DE), AM+A (USA), and Design Studio AND (Switzerland). I’ve worked for leading brands such as Visa, EP:Netshop, Volkswagen, Volvo, Citroën, GM, NASA, and Lucid, delivering work that spans digital/physical product design, visual identity, and brand awareness with a strong foundation in systems thinking and user-centered design.
With an M.A. in Industrial Design from HDK (now UDK) in Berlin, I bring a strategic and deeply human approach to creative leadership. I believe design is a powerful tool for transformation, capable of sparking delight, telling resonant stories, and solving real human needs. Whether leading a brand experience or prototyping a product ecosystem, I seek out opportunities to create work that is both visionary and grounded, making things better for people and the planet.
Beyond my professional life, I am a keen observer, self-driven yogi, experimental herbalist, and enthusiastic world traveler.

What my colleagues say about me:
Claudia has collaborated with us on major corporate-sponsored projects, contributing her expertise in UI/UX, Graphic Design, and Web Design.
Since its inception 10 years ago, she has co-taught interdisciplinary projects involving corporate sponsors from around the world, including Audi, Volvo, GM, PSA, Subaru, Stellantis, and NASA.
With her European background and perspective, Claudia has been a significant contributing factor to the success of these projects. She guides our multinational students throughout the entire process, from initial brainstorming and group formation to concept development, design execution, and final presentations featuring animation and storytelling.
Her approach not only emphasizes the functional aspects of design but also the emotional and experiential dimensions, ensuring that the end product resonates profoundly with users and stakeholders.
Tom Matano, Executive Director at Academy of Art University and Owner, Matano Design - 2024
Claudia's innovative work style and her commitment to fostering team collaboration were truly inspiring. She explored different ways and fresh techniques to engage teams, making our work together not only effective but enjoyable. What sets Claudia apart is her holistic approach, prioritizing the development of individuals over mere skill enhancement. This distinctive quality makes her a remarkable leader.

What my students say about me:
Claudia's dedication to pushing the boundaries of user experience and her forward-thinking approach challenged me to think critically about the future of UX design. Her mentorship not only enhanced my skills but also contributed significantly to the success of our project.
Akshat Sonar - 2024 - MFA in Interaction Design, Academy of Art University
Claudia is a great educator. She has a really constructive way of helping you to take a deeper look at your project and how it might be taken to the next level both functionally and visually. My work ended up much less run-of-the-mill and was more original and complete.

What my clients say about me:
“Your class in particular had some of the most refined execution of all the submissions. The presentations were polished, and the ideas were all solid. Without exception, the project submissions from your class were commercially viable, organized, and compelling.
While we easily could have awarded every project from your class, we’ve decided to award two projects with “Jury Special Selection” awards. These projects especially stood out as viable, innovative, and wonderfully-executed.“
